Why we are successful?
DIS is the largest domestic trade chain with 19 markets and over 420 franchise partners with developed distribution. We made all these with our own hands, by growing slowly, step by step. So, why we are successful?
The fist thing that comes to our minds is that our success is supported by our knowledge and hard work, as well as by our principle to stick to the given word. The most important is that we have not thought about ourselves, but we have taken care that our customers can buy more in DIS markets than on other places. We have always known that it is the only way for us to stay in a business with such a strong competition in Serbia and abroad.
But, that is not all.
DIS is a family company, with a long retail tradition. We founded DIS more than 20 years ago and we were not sure what to expect. We used to have only ourselves and what we had learned until then and we thought we could succeed. All what we could not learn in that way, we learned on our own mistakes. For all this time, we have made clear that there is no overnight success and that there are no magic tricks or shortcuts on the road to success. On the insecure market of the boisterous 90’s and first two decades of XXI century, we developed our business slowly, on healthy grounds.
If we had to explain in one sentence what the formula of our success is, then we would say that, regardless of the circumstances, we always stick to given word. In this business that means a lot. Unfortunately, sticking to the given word is not so frequent nowadays in Serbia. But we are recognized by our word. This is one of the reasons why DIS enjoys extreme confidence among its suppliers, customers and business partners. The way we make a deal is that it must just be done.
All this is important, of course, because only one think really matters and that is our relation towards customers. Namely, all we do has one single target: to provide lower prices in order to enable our customers to buy more. Each of our moves in business, each negotiation with suppliers and media representatives is aimed to offer our customers as much as we can. Hence we made our slogan: „You will buy more". This is DIS.
